Being a son to star actors showed him the way to the entertainment industry. Inclined towards music, Desi started a band named Dino, (Dean Martin’s son) Desi, & Billy at the age of twelve in which his role was to play the drums. The band went on to have hit singles “I’m A Fool” and “Not The Lovin’ Kind”, which not only gave exposure to the child artists, but also helped Desi find his inspiration to become an entertainer for life. He then started his acting career as he and his sister played the roles of his mother Lucy’s children in the movie “Here’s Lucy” in 1968. Eventually, he appeared in Hollywood movies including “Red Sky at Morning”, “Billy Two Hats” in the title role opposite Gregory Peck, “Joyride”, “A Wedding”, “House of the Long Shadows”, “The Mambo Kings” and several more. All of these movies added to his wealth in a significant way.

Desi Arnaz’s acting career was not confined to Hollywood movies, as he has been seen on television more often than the big screen. He has appeared in television series and TV movies such as “Black Market Baby”, “Police Story”, “Automan”, “Gridlock” and “Advice to the Lovelorn” among many more. All of these television and movie skits have added greatly to Desi’s riches.

Apart from being an actor and musician, he is also the owner of the “Boulder Theatre”, which is based in Nevada. This theatre speaks for Desi’s love towards acting, while also helping him add to his net worth with its revenue. Desi also did not forget the musical side of his career, as he reformed the band Dino, Desi & Billy now called Ricci, Desi & Billy as Ricci Martin joined the band in 1998 to fill the part left by Dean Paul Martin, Ricci’s brother. The band toured during 1998 until 2010, performing new songs, and the hit songs sung by their previous band.

As for his personal life, Desi Arnaz has been married twice, firstly with Linda Puri from 1980 to just 1981, and then he married Amy Laura Bargiel in 1987, with whom he had two daughters. Desi is now a widower since Amy died of cancer in January 2015.
