5 ways Shah Rukh Khan has helped those in need during the pandemic

As the country continues its battle against the coronavirus, Bollywood stars have really stepped up and have gone out of the way in order to help those in need. Shah Rukh Khan is someone who doesn’t boast about his charity work and the superstar has proved to be a silent hero yet again during these testing times. Here’s listing five ways King Khan has helped out the country during the pandemic.

Supply of PPE kits

Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation pledged to supply 50,000 kits to the healthcare workers in Maharashtra and West Bengal. The Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare of Maharashtra even took to Twitter and extended his gratitude to the actor for his lovely gesture.

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan recently announced that they will be offering their 4 storey office space as a quarantine centre for the BMC. The space is equipped with all the necessary measures as per the government requirements. Here’s the post that Gauri shared on social media as she announced the same.

3. Food supply

Shah Rukh Khan also tied up with Ek Saath Foundation to supply food to 5500 families who were initially surviving on daily wages. The organisation ensured that these families ration needs were met through these difficult times.

4. Monetary donations

The biggest victim of the coronavirus pandemic is the country’s economy. To help reduce the burden on the government, Shah Rukh Khan made donations to various organisations and Narendra Modi’s PM CARES fund with the aim of providing to those in need.
