In 1996, Mona Irani met Zubin Irani at one of his business meetings in New York City. They married soon after and had two children together before their divorce in 2007. During their marriage, she continued working as a fashion coordinator while raising their children full-time.
After they divorced, Mona Irani decided to move back to Mumbai with her child Shanelle Irani so that they could be closer to family members and friends. She began working as a fashion coordinator again until she discovered that she also had a knack for coordinating events.
Career
Mona Irani moved to New York City at age 18 to pursue her dreams of becoming a model. She worked for several years as an assistant to her aunt, who owns an international modelling agency.
