HEBER CITY — One woman died after snowmobiling on Wednesday, according to the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman was identified by police as Sarah Scott, aged 51.
The sheriff’s office said that at approximately 3 p.m., a 911 call was received that reported a “snowmobile accident.” It said the accident took place near Daniels Summit.
On Thursday, police said the initial investigation suggests that Scott lost control of the snowmobile she was operating, struck a tree, and succumbed to her injuries.
“We respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time and do not plan to release additional details at this time,” police stated.
The incident happened just two days after another snowmobiler was killed after being hit by a truck.
