Serena Williams is an American professional tennis player. Dubbed one of the greatest of all time, she’s a 22x Grand Slam singles champion, 14x Grand Slam doubles champion and 4x Olympic gold medalist. Williams was born to parents Oracene and Richard on September 26, 1981, in Saginaw, Michigan. She has four sisters including fellow tennis superstar Venus Williams. Serena spent her early childhood in Compton, California before moving to West Palm Beach, Florida. She was home-schooled. She later studied fashion design at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
